This Privacy Policy explains how TriviaSlam.com (“TriviaSlam,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)—operated by Townsend Services LLC—collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website and services.
Who We Are
Data Controller: Townsend Services LLC (registered in Wyoming, USA). Primary operations are based in Michigan, USA. Contact: admin@triviaslam.com.
Information We Collect
- Account Data: display name, email address, password hash (never plain text), age confirmation (13+).
- Usage & Technical Data: cookies, session ID, IP address (via standard server logs), device/browser information, pages viewed, referral/UTM, timestamps.
- Gameplay Data: game mode selections, scores, leaderboards, in-game actions, and anti-abuse signals.
- Purchase & Payments: coin purchase metadata processed by Stripe (e.g., payment intent/charge IDs, status, brand/last4 of card, billing name/email if provided). We do not collect or store full card numbers or CVV; Stripe handles these on its PCI-compliant systems.
- Communications: messages you send to support or feedback channels.
How We Use Information
- Provide and improve the site, games, accounts, and leaderboards.
- Process purchases of Coins and maintain your in-site balance.
- Prevent fraud, cheating, and abuse; ensure platform integrity and security.
- Operate analytics and diagnostics (site performance, feature usage).
- Send service messages (e.g., receipts, account notices). Marketing/newsletters only if you opt in.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

- Gameplay: may be retained in aggregate/anonymized form (e.g., statistics, leaderboards) after account deletion.
- Logs: server/security logs retained for a reasonable period for security and debugging.
Your Rights & Choices
- Access/Update: view or edit your profile information in your account.
- Delete: you can self-delete your account; remaining legal/aggregated data will be retained as described above.
- Marketing: opt in/out of newsletters; service/transactional emails will still be sent.
- Cookies: manage through your browser and, if available, our cookie settings tool.
GDPR/UK users: you may also have rights to object/restrict processing, data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can exercise rights by contacting admin@triviaslam.com. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA): we do not “sell” personal information as defined by California law. You may request access or deletion of personal information by contacting us at the email above. We do not discriminate against users for exercising their rights.

Children’s Privacy
TriviaSlam is not directed to children under 13. Users under 13 may not create an account. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

We are based in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track.” Because there is no industry consensus, our services may not respond to these signals. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
